Welcome back to Waverly to the families of the Waverly Junior High and High School. We are
excited to see the students return on August 18 th for their first full day of school. The administrators,
teachers and staff have been working hard to get the school and classes ready for the students. We are
also excited to return to a normal school day. The school day will begin at 8:10 and end at 3:10 with full
in-person learning each day for all students.
There is a committee of teachers working on an incentive program for the 7-12 grade students
for the upcoming school year. It will have several components and different incentives for the junior
high and high school students. It will promote positive things for our students such as school
attendance, punctuality and good grades. We want this to become a very positive system that in the end
all students want to earn and receive the incentives. Incentives will range from food options to off
campus activities. We will continue to inform the students as we come up with the guidelines of the
program and also the incentives we have developed with the program.
We all hope that everyone is excited to the return of school in August and look forward to
seeing everyone in a little over a month. I know that our staff is ready for the upcoming school year and
are excited to see the students back in the classrooms daily. I am excited to lead the school this coming
year and to have a fresh start for all the students and staff. We are going to do great things in Waverly
this coming year.
